There will always be anime which have been stuck with us through childhood and have made it all worthwhile, and with anime remakes, sequels, and spin-offs left and right, from Sailor Moon Crystal to Osomatsu-kun to Dragon Ball Super to Digimon Adventure Tri., it’s pretty clear that fans want to see more remakes of their favorite anime as well.

The Japanese media website, R25 by Yahoo!, has recently asked 200 men to answer which shounen anime from the 80’s and/or 90’s is the one they want to see have a remake. Here are the results of their poll:

13/12 tie – Patlabor and High School Kimengumi

Even with the Dragon Ball Kai remastered versions and the new Dragon Ball Super anime, it seems like many Japanese fans still want to see a remake of the anime, but that clearly wasn’t enough to take it to the #1 spot, which was won by Captain Tsubasa. The sports classic has become one of the most successful anime in the genre, and it beating out the heavily-favored Dragon Ball is certainly no upset.
