Konami’s now-cancelled horror game, Silent Hills, is considered one of the greatest “What Ifs” in the gaming world, and two of the big names who were supposed to be a part of that game, critically-acclaimed director, Guillermo del Toro, and renowned Japanese game designer, Hideo Kojima are having a reunion of sorts during this year’s D.I.C.E. Summit.

The two legends will be holding a joint discussion to talk about their creative visions. The discussion will be hosted by George Keighley, and will be titled “A Conversation with Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro.” It will  “revisit some of their fondest memories from their own individual careers as well as some of the pivotal moments from each other’s work that remain a constant source of inspiration.” It will be held from February 16 – 18, and will also include talks from Randy Pitchford, Todd Howard and others.

Pacific Rim director, Guillermo del Toro, has been known to be a good friend to Kojima, and he will be the one personally  to induct the gaming legend into the The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ Hall of Fame.
