After a long wait, the latest addition to the Blazblue fighting game franchise, Blazblue: Central Fiction, is finally heading to consoles, as the game will be released in PlayStation 3 and 4 in Japan. This is according to an announcement by the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu Magazine.
According to Famitsu, which will be running a 10-page article about the game, the console versions will be adding a new character in Es, who is a character from the BlazBlue prequel visual novel, XBlaze – Code: Embryo. She promises to be a bit different from her appearance in XBlaze, where she served as the main heroine. The magazine will also be having an interview with producer Toshimichi Mori.
Like the arcade version, the console versions will also be introducing new fighters to the roster, and they are Nine the Phantom, Hades Izanami, Hibiki Kohaku, and Naoto Kurogane… along with Es of course. The console release is slated for Fall 2016 in Japan, and will also be adding a story mode to expand on the story from the game’s Arcade Mode. And as usual, the Network Mode will be allowing online play and will include Ranked Matches and Player Matches.
