Two massive earthquakes have rocked southern Japan, and the area is still reeling from the effects, even with the massive outpouring of support around the world. Approximately 18,000 people are affected by these two quakes, which have hit the southern area of Japan, including Kumamoto and Oita prefectures, and Good Smile Company, one of Japan’s most well-known figure manufacturers, is joining in to help these people.
Good Smile Company, in partnership with Crypton Future Media, Nitroplus and DMM, have once again launched the charity project called Cheerful Japan, and part of its proceeds will be going to the victims of the earthquakes. The project was launched back in 2011 for the Great East Japan earthquake, and they are launching the project again for the two massive quakes in southern Japan.
We wish to express our condolences to those who have been affected by the earthquakes that struck Kumamoto prefecture in April 2016. Good Smile Company will be releasing ‘Hatsune Miku: Cheerful Ver.’ in collaboration with Crypton Future Media and ‘Nendoroid Mikazuki Munechika: Cheerful Ver.’ in collaboration with Nitroplus and DMM.com as charity products to help raise funds to aid relief efforts in the Kyushu region.
