Believe it or not, there are actually MEN who read and watch yaoi, and they are called Fudanshi. They are the male counterparts to the Fujoshi, or “Rotten Women,” who are fans of yaoi, and these male yaoi fans are the subject of an upcoming anime titled Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu, which will follow a BL fan who also happens to be a male high school student.

The Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu will be based on the web manga by Atami Michinoku, and is set to premiere this July 2016. It will follow Sakaguchi, a male yaoi fan in high school, and his daily life with his friends who are either normal, gay, or girls (who are fujoshi).
