A cosplay runway; laser tag; League of Legends show match between all-girl teams Asterisk and Galaxy; King of Fighters XIV’s E3 demo (first appearance in Asia); fun-for-all tournaments for Street Fighter V, Hearthstone, Pokemon, Endgods, FIFA 16, CS:GO, DOTA2 and even trading card games like CCardfight!! Vanguard and Yu-Gi-Oh — plus so much more.
That’s Campus Game Fest 2016, in a nutshell.
Taking place from June 24 to 26 at the ITE College Central multi-purpose hall (Block F) in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore, the festival is quite possibly the most happening place to be this weekend — if you like fun and games, that is.
There’s so much going on that I can’t list everything. So instead, I’m just going to direct you to the Event Guide on the CGF2016 official website.
There, you’ll find a full list of stage activities, as well as the start times and full schedule for tournaments and other details.
The ever popular Cosplay Runway is back at this year’s Campus Game Fest, too, scheduled to take place on June 25 (Saturday) at 6:00PM. More information about this year’s Cosplay Runway can be found under the Anime & Japanese Culture section within the CGF Highlights tab.
Organised by the Singapore CyberSports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) in conjunction with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Community Club Youth Executive Committees (CC YECs) from Ang Mo Kio Group Representation Constituency (GRC) and Sengkang West Single Member Constituency (SMC), the festival seeks to empower Singapore’s youth leaders and volunteers by having them take on leadership roles in running various community fun events.
An opening ceremony for the festival was held earlier this afternoon, officiated by guest-of-honour Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Culture, Community and Youth. In her opening address, she spoke about the virtues of responsible gaming and eSports.
