Gundam Build Fighters Try is getting a TV anime special in August, Bandai Namco Entertainment announced today alongside the first details to Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2nd Season.
Entitled Gundam Build Fighters Try: Island Wars, the TV anime special is slated to air in Japan on August 21, and it will see the Try Fighters team — protagonists Sekai Kamiki, Yuuma Kousaka and Fumina Hoshino — take a trip down to Nielsen Labs, where they are invited to be test pilots for Yajima Corporation’s new Gunpla battle system.
Due to a malfunction in the system, however, the Try Fighters were unable to proceed with the tests, and found themselves with a lot of free time on their hands. Fortunately, as Nielsen Labs’s facilities were akin to that of a tropical island resort, the Try Fighters members took the downtime to enjoy all of the leisure activities the location had to offer. While doing so, they find themselves reunited with Minato Sakai, Shia Kijima and Gyanko — who were also invited to the facility to be test pilots.
Unbeknownst to them all, a dark and mysterious event was about to befall upon the facility. Will the Try Fighters be able to overcome the challenge?
Gundam Build Fighters Try: Island Wars will feature over 10 new Mobile Suits — including the Scramble Gundam, Lightning Gundam Strider and ZZII which will all receive Gunpla kit releases later this year.
New Mobile Suits:
- Kamiki Burning Gundam
- Lightning Gundam Strider
- Star Winning Gundam
- Gundam 00 Shia Qanta
- Bearguy P
