During the fall event for light novel brand, Dengeki Bunko, it was revealed that one of their musical titles, Ro-Kyu-Bu! author Sagu Aoyama’s new “loli pop comedy” light novel series, Tenshi no 3P!, is getting its very own TV anime adaptation.
The light novels follow three friends who are still in 5th grade, and want to break into the music scene. To do this, the trio of Nozomi, Jun, and Sora seek the aid of high school student, Kyou Mekui, who is secretly a producer of music using a vocal song synthesis software… in other words, he’s secretly a vocaloid producer.
Tenshi no 3P! is slated to premiere in 2017, and will have Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS director, Shinsuke Yanagi, directing the project over at studio project No.9. The anime’s Ro-Kyu-Bu roots don’t just end there, as the script for the new series will also be written by Ro-Kyu-Bu writer, Takayuki Noguchi.
