During AnimeJapan 2017, Japanese smartphone game developer, Cygames (Rage of Bahamut, Granblue Fantasy) revealed that their horse racing game about anthropomorphic horses, Uma Musume, is getting a TV anime adaptation. They revealed that P.A. Works, which previously animated a PV for the game, is also animating the TV anime adaptation. Here is the said PV, which was shown during last year’s AnimeJapan event:

Cygames, Toho Animation, and Lantis are all co-producing the anime. Aside from the P.A. Works anime adaptation, Cygames also revealed a brand new trailer for the upcoming smartphone game. This new trailer previews the gameplay features, which includes races and live events.

In the game, which is still in development, players become mentors and trainers for the Uma Musume, or Horse Girls, as they aim to become both top idols and excellent runners at the “Nihon Uma Musume Training Center Gakuen”. As trainers and mentors, players will have to do their best to make these horse girls debut as both idols and athletes.

Expect more announcements about the game, as well as its anime adaptation, to be announced soon.
