Just two more days and it’s the start of the new Spring 2017 anime season! After taking a look at five new anime being introduced next season, we’re now taking a look at another five upcoming anime, and this time, they’re ones that you might be familiar with! This is because they are either sequels or spin-offs of previous anime!

This new season starts off on April 1, and it will start with one of the most anticipated anime of the year, Attack on Titan season 2. However, due to the fact that Attack on Titan, as well as the Naruto spin-off, Boruto, are a bit too obvious, we’re purposely excluding them from our list of anime sequels and spin-offs we’re most excited to watch. In other words, we’re giving the other series a chance by excluding those two titles. And without further ado, here are our picks:

My Hero Academia Season 2

The first season absolutely thrilled us, and that’s why we’re absolutely stoked for this new season! My Hero Academia season 2 continues where the first season left off, and with UA High conducting its sports festival, expect a lot more action with our Heroes-In-Training.

Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Sword Oratoria

This spin-off anime may not focus on a certain loli goddess with an iconic blue string, but it gives one of the franchise’s most underrated characters the spotlight she deserves. Focusing on the exploits of Aiz Wallenstein and the Loki Familia, this DanMachi spin-off is something to look forward to if you loved the original.

Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girl Friend Flat

The first Saekano anime made us fall in love with a boring girl despite also having a lovable senpai and tsundere childhood friend character, and that’s why we’re excited to see the crew over at Blessing Software once again. And with the source light novels approaching its ending, it’s an added bonus how this new season will turn out.

The Eccentric Family 2

Whoever said P.A. Works doesn’t do sequels?! And what’s more is that they are doing a sequel to one of the most underrated anime ever aired, and that truly is something special. If you haven’t watched the first season yet, we suggest you to binge watch before season 2 premieres on April 9!

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul

The anime is based on Cygames’ popular card battle RPG, so you may have already heard of the franchise. This sequel to Rage of Bahamut: Genesis continues the story of Favaro and Kaisar, and this time, a bounty hunter by the name of Nina Drango is joining them! Much like The Eccentric Family, the original anime is also really underrated, so we’re also suggesting some binge watching for Genesis before Virgin Soul premieres on April 8!
