Bkub Ookawa’s hilariously unapologetic gag manga, Pop Team Epic, has gained quite a reputation in Japan. And earlier today, the official website revealed that the manga will be getting an anime adaptation this October 2017, along with a new key visual.

Pop Team Epic describes its own adaptation as a “Crappy Anime”. It even leans on the 4th Wall with the tagline, “Remember Takeshobo”, which of course, is the company which publishes the manga. The manga follows two 14-year old girls, Popuko (the short one) and Pipimi (the tall one) and their hilarious misadventures.

The manga has gained much notariety and has even inspired its own meme!

Oh, and the memetic duo also have their own official Nendoroids from Good Smile Company.
