Heads up Monogatari fans, because Kizumonogatari is getting itself its own VR Experience for the PlayStation VR… and it will be free to download. Kayac, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia (SIEJA), and Aniplex have teamed up to develop the project, which is officially called Kizumonogatari VR.

They will be launching Kizumonogatari VR on July 12, the same day as the Blu-ray/DVD release of the third Kizumonogatari movie. The experience itself is based on the movie, which of course is based on NisiOisin’s Monogatari series light novels. It uses VR projection mapping to recreate the world from the movie.

It will also allow players to interact with several characters from the film, most notably Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. Sony will be launching the VR Experience for free via the PlayStation Store.
