Listen up Gundam fans, because the Gundam portal site, Gundam.info, has announced that they will be streaming the very first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight Axis. They also revealed a brand new PV for the anime too.
According to their announcement, they will be streaming the first episode online starting June 23, 2017. Here’s the anime’s previously-released key visual, which features the Gundam Tristan and the Zaku III Kai.
The anime will be based on Ark Performance (Arpeggio of Blue Steel mangaka) and Koujirou Nakamura’s manga of the same name. The manga follows the events which took place after Gundam UC. Taking place during UC 0096, the anime follows former Zeon remnants as they investigate the asteroid known as Axis. For those familiar with Universal Century lore, Axis is the asteroid which served as the base of operations for Neo Zeon during Gundam Zeta and ZZ. It was also the same asteroid which Char Aznable tried to crash into Earth during Char’s Counterattack.
Gundam UC assistant director Se Jun Kim is making his directorial debut in this anime over at Sunrise. The anime will be released as a net anime or ONA. Official Gundam Fan Club members will be the first to see it online in June 2017. More details about the anime’s release, as well as its corresponding kits, will be announced in the days to come.
