During a special talk event in Kyoto, the staff for Kyoto Animation’s Sound! Euphonium TV anime has revealed that the franchise will be getting two new anime movies for 2018. They also revealed a announcement video for these two films:A Silent Voice director, Naoko Yamada, will be directing the first movie, which will focus on Nozomi Kasaki and Mizore Yoroizuka. Sound! Euphonium TV anime director, Tatsuya Ishihara, will act as the chief director for the second film, and will focus on Kumiko as a second year student… in other words, after the events of the second season. Both films will hit theaters next year.
They also revealed new details on the second compilation film, Gekijou-ban Hibike! Euphonium: Todoketai Melody. This includes its September 30, 2017 premiere, as well as a new teaser:
