The Fairy Tail manga has ended, and now, its TV anime will be ending as well. Hiro Mashima, the mangaka behind Fairy Tail, has revealed in a tweet that the TV anime adaptation of his manga will be getting a “Final Season”. He even announced it in English as Fairy Tail has legions of fans from all over the world.

 

According to Mashima, the final season will “go on air” in 2018. So far, no details other than the 2018 release have been announced so far, so stay tuned for more details.

The last TV anime was aired last year, and it featured Mashima’s Fairy Tail prequel, Fairy Tail Zero. The latest anime is the Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry movie, which is now showing, or will be shown in several countries outside of Japan.
