During the CCG Expo event in Shanghai, China, Bandai featured replica statues of both the RX-78-2 Gundam and the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. However, people noticed that both mobile suits were missing their heads! The photos went viral throughout the GunPla community and general, with people wondering where the heads went.

It turns out that those heads were indeed stolen, as several Chinese GunPla enthusiasts found those heads being sold at a China-based online auction. The Chinese GunPla community is comparing the theft to the incident involving a  stolen 1,500-year old Buddha head a few decades ago.

It’s still not clear whether the people in the picture are the same ones who stole these Gundam heads, but remember that everywhere you go, buying and selling stolen goods is illegal in many countries, including China. Since the heads are from the Bandai area during an event, it should be noted that those heads should belong to Bandai.
