In Japan, the general public mostly look down on otaku, and are generally viewed as too creepy. Add to the fact that most of them prefer 2D girls. But what if they get a chance to love a real woman? That’s the premise of Fujita’s Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii manga, which is also known as “Love is Hard for an Otaku”. Now, that very romance manga is getting itself an anime adaptation. They even revealed a brand new PV announcing the new anime:
The manga follows a fujoshi office lady who hides her fujoshi tendencies, Narumi, and her closet game otaku co-worker, Hirotaka, who also happens to be one of the most popular guys in the company.
A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Eromanga Sensei) will be animating the TV anime adaptation, with Fuji TV airing it in their Noitamina animation block. More details about this new anime will be announced in the days to come.
