The musical duo known as ClariS may be Japan’s most mysterious musical act. Not everyone knows what they look like, and they often perform wearing masks or behind a veil. However, fans attending their “ClariS 2nd HALL CONCERT in Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall ~ Sayonara no Saki e …Hajimaru no Melody” concert reportedly got to see what they actually look like!
Throughout the concert, the duo wore masks to hide their identities. However, during their encore performance of “Prism”, the duo came out without their masks to the surprise of absolutely everyone. The crowd reportedly burst into a deafening applause after the performance, as this would be the first time we see ClariS without their masks.
Clara, the original member of the duo, said that this would be the first time she would truly meet her fans as herself after seven years performing while hiding her face. As for the newer member, Karen, she was a little bit more nervous unmasking, but also said that she was happy. The duo reportedly planned the unmasking during the concert for quite some time.
Sadly, no official images of the duo’s unmasking have been revealed yet as of writing. However, Clara and Karen will be appearing right here in Singapore this November for C3 AFA – Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2017! This would mark the duo’s first performance outside of Japan, and with them already unmasking during a concert in Yokohama, who knows? Maybe they’ll unmask in Singapore too!
C3 AFA Singapore will happen from 24-26 November 2017, and will boast plenty of anime-related booths, star-studded cosplays, and the I Love Anisong musical performances. So, who here is excited? We surely are!
