After an amazing 8-year run, it looks like Shinobu Ohtaka’s popular Magi manga is nearing its end. According to the announcement by the Weekly Shounen Sunday official website, Magi will be ending after four more chapters.

The manga’s 35th volume was just released last September 1 in Japan. Its volume 36 release will then follow on October 18. For Southeast Asia, Shogakukan Asia is distributing the manga in Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

Ohtaka launched the manga back in 2009, and has gone on to have much success, including a spin-off manga about Sinbad, as well as a popular TV anime adaptation.

So, what’s your favorite Magi manga moment?
