What if you get reincarnated into a fantasy world as the grandson of a powerful wizard and sage? That’s the premise of Kenja no Mago, which is a novel series by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka. It has a manga adaptation by Shunsuke Ogata, and a new video promoting the manga reveals that it’s also getting an anime adaptation.

The manga follows Shin, the adopted grandson of a famous and powerful sage who has saved the world plenty of times. It also turns out that Shin is actually reincarnated from our world, and was raised by the sage since he was a baby. However, when Shin sets out to start his studies in Alsheid Kingdom’s renowned magic academy, the sage forgot one thing very important, and that’s teaching Shin some common sense and how to deal with other people. Comedy ensues.

The video didn’t reveal any further details on the anime adaptation, and we also still don’t know the anime’s format. This means that we still don’t know if it will be a TV anime, movie, OVA, or even an ONA. Looks like we’ll be finding out more about this upcoming anime in the days to come.
