Looks like there’s no stopping Full Metal Panic!’s return this time around. Not only is the anime series getting a fourth TV anime titled Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory this spring 2018, but it’s also getting a new movie trilogy. The trilogy will actually be a “director’s cut” version of the original TV anime, which aired back in 2002.
This means that the three new Full Metal Panic! movies will be taking a look back to the first season. This was first revealed by the Full Metal Panic! light novel illustrator, @shikidoji who tweeted a new image of a magazine page. However, he didn’t reveal any further details.
As for the Invisible Victory TV anime, it was supposed to premiere this Fall 2017, but was delayed indefinitely. However, it’s now going to air in Spring 2018 according to creator Shoji Gatoh. Fans have waited for this latest sequel series for over a decade now, so when the anime got delayed indefinitely, there was cause for panic. But now that it has a new release period, fans would now have to do something they’ve been quite familiar with in the FMP franchise, and that is WAITING.
