Vainglory is making a homecoming to Singapore for the Vainglory World Championship 2017. 5000 teams across six regions in the world – North America, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, East Asia and China, have competed, and the top 12 Vainglory teams will converge in the country  this December!

The Kallang Theatre in Singapore will be hosting the tournament from December 14 through December 17. These Top 12 teams will then fight for the prize pool worth USD$140,000. This is an increase from last year’s prize pool of USD$120,000 prize pool where it was held in Hollywood, California, USA. Super Evil is also set to showcase the upcoming 5v5 feature which it announced was in development earlier this year.

While the game has gained globall traction in recent times, being featured in keynote launches of leading mobile devices such as the iPhone 6 and the recent Galaxy Note 8, the Singapore World Championships represents a homecoming of sorts to the mobile MOBA. Singapore was where they launched the first beta of the game – then called Kindred, on 18 December 2013.
Adding to the occasion of the event is Team Impunity, a homegrown team of esports players, who are looking forward to fighting for the world title in their very own backyard.
