As promised by the official website, the very first PV for the highly-anticipated Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc TV anime as been released. The new PV takes a look at the anime’s story, and also revolves around Sakura now entering Middle School.
She’s all grown up! Well, at least a little bit since she’s only in middle school. And yes, that’s veteran voice actress/seiyuu, Sakura Tenge returning to voice the character she voiced back in the 90’s!
They also revealed that the new anime will premiere in January 7, 2018 at around 7:30 am Japan Standard Time. Madhouse will be animating the project, while NHK will be broadcasting it. Much of the original 1990’s classic will also be returning for this new sequel anime, which features Sakura as a middle school student. The sequel manga was part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for the CCS franchise, which of course started when CLAMP first launched the series back in May 1996 inside the pages of Nakayoshi magazine.
