Looks like the wait for Season 3 won’t be as long as the wait for Season 2. During the “‘Shingeki no Kyojin’ Reading & Live Event Orchestra ‘Attack Oto Taikan 2′” event in Tokyo, the staff revealed new details on the upcoming Attack on Titan Season 3. This includes a brand new key visual featuring Eren and Levi:

Previous key visuals feature Eren taking on a titan. However, this new visual highlights the change in the story line, as the Survey Corps now turn their attention to taking on the royals, and this would lead to more information about Levi’s past. The staff also revealed that season 3 will premiere in July 2018.

Aside from season 3’s new key visual and premiere window, the staff also revealed that Season 2 will get its own compilation movie. Titled “Kakusei no Houkou,” the movie will compile the events from the second season, and it will premiere on January 13, 2018. They also unveiled a brand new PV for this upcoming movie:

The third season’s events will occur right after the end of the events of the compilation movie.
