Gintama Rumble is shaping up to be an action-packed (yet hilarious) musuo-style action game. Now, Weekly Shounen Jump! magazine’s latest issue has revealed more information about the game! According to the magazine, this new anime game from Bandai Namco will be adding Tsukuyo and Kamui as playable characters.
Much like the original manga and anime, Tsukuyo will be a ranged type of fighter, while Kamui will excel at close combat. Tsukuyo will be using her kunai to sweep enemies from afar, while Kamui is revealed to be very fast and will use that speed to get up close and personal.
The magazine also confirms that Kagura can awaken her Yato Blood in the game. It would seriously boost her attacking abilities, however, this comes at a cost with lower defense. Finally, the magazine also revealed that Gintama Rumble will also add two more bosses in Housen and Abuto . And just in case you missed it, you can watch the game’s very first gameplay trailer through this link.
Gintama Rumble will first hit Japanese PS4 and PS Vita platforms on January 18, 2017, before heading to Southeast Asia in a later date. More details on the Southeast Asian release will be revealed in the days to come.
