Key Visual Arts’ Little Busters spin-off visual novel, Kud Wafter, has launched a crowdfunding campaign in Japan to get an anime movie adaptation. It’s safe to say that it reached its crowdfunding goal , and even exceeded it. Now, Key Visual Arts, together with Tokyo Otaku Mode, are seeking Crowdfunding for the anime once again. But this time, it will be for the movie’s international release.

The original Japan-only crowdfunding campaign ended on Sept. 29, exceeding all stretch goals for a total of ¥78,047,044. Now, with the long-promised launch of the international crowdfunding campaign, fans around the world can contribute to the creation of the Kud Wafter anime film—and potentially even increase its length. The international campaign will take place on TOM Projects, a crowdfunding and product development platform created by Tokyo Otaku Mode to help bring fans closer to popular IPs and creators.

Based on the results of the Japanese crowdfunding campaign, the Kud Wafter anime movie project is already guaranteed to culminate in the production of a 40-50 minute theatrical film. The international campaign launches with a goal of ¥3,000,000. Achieving this goal will enable an English translation for the movie as well as worldwide distribution of crowdfunding rewards.
