This January, prepare for lots of scares, as the horror master himself, Junji Ito, will have several works of his get adapted into a TV anime. And now, the official website for the Junji Ito Collection anime has updated, and revealed that it will have 12 episodes plus two OVAs.

But while we still don’t know which of his manga will get adapted for this anthology anime, the website revealed that the OVAs will be adapting his blood and gore fest titled Tomie. The anime will have 12 episodes, and its Blu-ray/DVD release will be separated into three volumes, with each volume having four episodes. The 2nd and 3rd home video releases will contain Tomie Volume 1 and Tomie Volume 2 respectively. As for their releases, first set will ship on March 30, the second on April 27, and the third on May 25.

But while the anime’s visual and the PV features several notable works by the horror master, they wouldn’t reveal what exact series the anime anthology will include. They are doing this as a surprise for fans of the manga. Shinobu Tagashira (Diabolik Lovers) is directing the anime, while Studio DEEN is producing the animation. Junji Ito Collection will premiere this January 7, 2017.

So, what do you guys think will be part of the anime? We have our own picks on what we think should be included in the anthology anime through this link.
