It looks like one of Japan’s most famous mangaka is returning in 2018. During the Jump Festa 2018 event, renowned mangaka, Masashi Kishimoto, revealed that he’s returning in 2018 with a new manga. The Boruto panel then revealed several layout art sequences that Kishimoto himself drew for the new work.
While Naruto ended in 2014, Kishimoto has been quite busy. He did the one-volume sequel manga Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, and also worked on Boruto -Naruto the Movie- as the script writer and character designer. Now, with this new work, he is certainly making fans wonder what it will be about. However, during the New York Comic-Con back in 2015, he did say that he wanted his new work to be something from the Science Fiction genre.
While he created Naruto, Kishimoto isn’t the mangaka behind Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, but his former assistant, Mikie Ikimoto. However, Kishimoto is supervising the series himself.
