Despite having lost a ton of players from the past year, Pokemon GO remains as one of the most popular gaming apps in the world. However, it seems that Niantic has some bad news for players who have iPhone devices who can’t run iOS 11. This is because they will terminate support for them starting February 28, 2018. This means that if they can’t find more up-to-date smartphones, or advanced iPhone models, they cannot play the game anymore starting with that date.

But it’s not all bad news though, as Niantic also announced that they are now releasing the mascot for Pokemon Sapphire, Kyogre. The legendary water Pokemon will be available in Raid battles all over the world.

Here’s how Niantic described the Kyogre release:

Kyogre, the Water-type Legendary Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region, is now appearing in Raid Battles around the world! Keep an eye out for Kyogre at Gyms near you, and you may be one of the first to catch this Legendary Pokémon. But don’t delay—Kyogre will only be available until 1:00 P.M. PST on February 14, 2018. Good luck, Trainers!

So it will only be available for a limited time, so better catch it before it goes away!
