The second Pokemon movie, Pokemon 2000, focused on Ash’s Orange Islands adventure and featured Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Now, the anime’s official website has started streaming the movie’s new teaser trailer. It also teases a familiar flute music from Pokemon 2000. This will be the 21st movie in the franchise.
Much like last year’s film, “Pokemon, I Choose You!,” this year’s Pokemon film will be animated by Attack on Titan’s WiT Studio alongside Oriental Light and Magic. Tetsuo Yajima is also returning to direct the movie, with Shizue Kaneko doing the character designs again. This means that Bishie Ash is back! They also unveiled the anime’s new key visual:
Aside from this latest 2018 Pokemon movie and Pokemon 2000, Lugia also appeared in Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. This means that Lugia has appeared in at least three Pokemon movies. Expect the anime’s staff to make even more announcements, such as the story and cast reveal, in the days to come.
