It’s no secret that One Punch Man and Eye Shield 21 mangaka, Yusuke Murata, is a huge Back to the Future fan. In fact, he even had the honor of doing the comic version’s wrap-around sleeve for its Japanese release. And during a Ready Player One event in Tokyo, it was announced that he’s now also doing a new Back to the Future manga as well. But don’t worry, he’s still doing One Punch Man with ONE as well.

The 1985 American science-fiction movie classic’s screenwriter, Bob Gale, is supervising the manga himself. It will also include new story content not found in the original movie. The Kono Manga ga Sugoi! official website will be serializing the manga online, and they’ve even revealed the manga’s opening page, which features the deLorean.

Leave it to Murata to do such an amazing artwork for a manga, right? However, the mangaka did note that drawing Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly is quite challenging in of its own, but vowed he will do his best. Kono Manga Ga Sugoi will announce the manga’s release date soon, and Murata says that he plans to be able to release Volume 1 by April.

The bestselling mangaka previously did illustrations for Marvel’s Spider-Man, as well as Capcom’s Darkstalkers and Street Fighter V.
