Japanese animation has become so big that tourists flock to Japan just to visit sites they see on anime. From Girls und Panzer’s Oarai to OreImo’s Chiba City, fans just love visiting these so-called “Holy Sites”. Now, fans can get more information on how to visit them right as they arrive in Japan.
The Narita International Airport, which is Japan’s largest airport, will be opening the “Anime Tourism Information” booth on April 6, 2018. Foreign anime fans can find it over at the airport’s Terminal 2, at the second floor. It will offer guidance boards for 88 of the top anime pilgrimage spots in Japan. They will even offer pamphlets in English and Chinese, as well as sell anime merchandise.
The Anime Tourism Association announced these 88 spots last year as part of the Japan Anime Tourism 88-Stop Pilgrimage. You can also check these spots out through this PDF: 2018 Japan Anime Tourism 88-Stop Pilgrimage
