There are a lot of manga which deserve an anime adaptation, but never really get one. And in some cases, some of these manga get their anime adaptations decades after their runs ended, much like Parasyte.
During last weekend’s AnimeJapan 2018 event, they recently conducted their “Anime Anything and Everything Ranking”. This included four different polls, one of which centered around manga which fans think need an anime adaptation. The poll featured old and new manga which never really had any anime adaptations, and revealed the Top 10:
10 – Umehara Fighting Gamers!
9 – Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation
8 – The Promised Neverland
7 – Nogi Wakaba wa Yuusha Dearu
6 – Psyren
5 – Taisho Otome Otogi Banashi
4 – Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu
3 – Bloom Into You
2 – Fate/strange Fake
1 – 10 Dance
BL is certainly getting more and more popular, as more and more girls become fujoshi. This is evident as BL manga, 10 Dance, gets first place in the official AnimeJapan 2018 poll. It seems that a lot of fujoshi banded together and voted overwhelmingly for the manga, as it seems that they really want to see an anime adaptation of it.
Meanwhile, Fate will always be popular, as Fate/strange Fake takes second place. As for third, yuri or Girl’s Love shows us that the fujoshi community isn’t the only same-sex fandom with a strong following.
So, which manga do you want to see adapted into an anime?
