Fairy Tail is now officially over, and its mangaka, Hiro Mashima is now working on his next manga. And now, Kodansha is teasing that next work by revealing three sketches from it. They reveal what seems to be his new manga’s male and female protagonists.

Is it just me or is the new male protagonist looking really familiar? Well, for one thing, he really does look like Fairy Tail protagonist, Natsu Dragneel, that’s for sure.

Kodansha also noted that they won’t just release this new manga in Japan, but Europe and America as well. They also revealed that this new manga’s release will be on June 27, 2018. However, they still didn’t reveal its official title yet. However, Mashima did previously tease three details about this new work:

  1. It will be a new form of fantasy
  2. Jokes will be quite challenging
  3. Much like Rave Master and Fairy Tail, Plue will be appearing too!

During New Year’s Eve, Mashima tweeted that he’s working hard to get a new serialization this year. of course, that created a frenzy of speculation among fans about his next manga work.

Mashima launched Fairy Tail back in 2006, and never looked back. His manga ran for over 10 years, which is really something, as most manga don’t even last more than five issues. As of now, this latest manga still remains a huge mystery, and only time will tell what it will be about.
