After a successful and critically-acclaimed TV anime run, Jun Mayazuki’s After the Rain manga is getting a live-action movie. The manga and anime follow 17-year old high school student, Akira Tachibana, who falls in love with the 45-year old manager of the family restaurant she works for, Masami Kondou. Now, the movie’s staff have revealed the latest trailer for this upcoming romantic film.

The movie stars Nana Komatsu as the 17-year old former track star and family restaurant waitress, Akira Tachibana. Playing her love interest, the 45-year old Masami Kondo, is actor Yo Oizumi. As the trailer shows, she is working hard to show her affections for him. It also previews its theme song, “Front Memory” by Emiko Suzuki and Seiji Kameda.

The movie itself will premiere on May 25, 2018. Akira Nagai is directing this manga-based movie, which also stars Nana Seino, Hayato Isomura, and Shono Hayama.
