My Hero Academia is currently one of the hottest anime franchises in the world, and fittingly, it gets its own movie. Titled My Hero Academia: The Two Heroes, the film will have an original story, and will also add new characters. And now, the staff have released a brand new key visual, which features these new characters. It also features Deku, All Might, Bakugo, and the rest of the UA gang.

For the new characters, the blonde girl with glasses is Melissa, a quirkless girl who Deku meets in I Island. Meanwhile, the one beside All Might is Melissa’s father, Devitt, who has ties with All Might in his youth. Devitt makes support items for heroes, and Melissa is trying to follow his footsteps.

The movie’s story will be taking place after the Final Exam Arc, around the same time during the Forest Training Arc.” They also revealed that it will take the UA students in an overseas trip on a man-made floating city called “I Island.”

As for its Japanese release, the anime’s staff confirmed it will premiere on August 3, 2018. They previously revealed that it will have an original story not found in Kouhei Horikoshi’s original manga. In fact, the mangaka himself is writing the story. BONES will once again be animating the project, with Kenji Nagasaki directing it.
