Ladies and gentlemen, they have finally announced the new Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch! They revealed two new games, both take inspiration from the Pokemon Yellow Version game for the Gameboy Color. They’re Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, and each features the titular Pokemon as that game’s starter.

The announcement featured a ton of features, including the ability to crossover with Pokemon GO. Players can even take Pokemon from Pokemon GO and transfer it to either Let’s Go Eevee or Let’s Go Pikachu. And speaking of Pokemon GO, the mobile game also inspired the new games’ capture mechanic, which makes use of the Joy Con’s motion controls. But if you want that Pokeball experience, they’re also releasing the Pokeball Plus. This new accessory will allow trainers to catch Pokemon in the two games, as well as take Pikachu outside your house.

The announcement video also revealed new game mechanics, such as the co-op function, which is the first time any core Pokemon game has featured a cooperative multiplayer function.

And as the video has also revealed, this game is set in Kanto from the original Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow versions. It will feature all 151 original Gen-1 Pokemon, from Bulbasaur to Mew. This means that Pokemon is going back to its roots while trying out new stuff and other mechanics.

The Pokemon Company will release both games for the Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2018.
