My Hero Academia is finally getting its own anime movie with My Hero Academia the Movie: Two Heroes. And now, Toho has started streaming a brand new trailer for this new movie. It features the previously-introduced new characters, as well as teases the theme song, “Long Hope Philia” by Masaki Suda.

The film itself will premiere in Japan on 3rd August, but Funumation and Toho will be holding a World Premiere as well. This will happen during the Anime Expo 2018 event in Los Angeles, California on July 5, 2018, local time.

For the new characters, the blonde girl with glasses is Melissa, a quirkless girl who Deku meets in I Island. Meanwhile, the one beside All Might is Melissa’s father, Devitt, who has ties with All Might in his youth. Devitt makes support items for heroes, and Melissa is trying to follow his footsteps.

The movie’s story will be taking place after the Final Exam Arc, around the same time during the Forest Training Arc.” They also revealed that it will take the UA students in an overseas trip on a man-made floating city called “I Island.”

They previously revealed that it will have an original story not found in Kouhei Horikoshi’s original manga. In fact, the mangaka himself is writing the story. BONES will once again be animating the project, with Kenji Nagasaki directing it.
