Ladies and gentlemen, Part 5 of Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is finally getting its own TV anime adaptation! In fact, Araki himself revealed the 5th Jojo anime during the “Hirohiko Araki JoJo Exhibition: Ripples of Adventure” art exhibition event. Part 5’s title is Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Vento Aureo, and it follows Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio Brando.
The anime itself will premiere in October, but will also be getting advance screenings for its first episode. The first is a simultaneous premiere happening in both Anyerri Hall in Tokyo and Japan Expo in Paris, France on July 5, 2018. They will then air the first episode during Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California on July 7, 2018.
Set in 2001 Italy, the story follows Giorno Giovanna and his dream to rise within the Neapolitan mafia and defeat the boss of Passione, the most powerful and influential gang, in order to become a “Gang-Star”. With the aid of a capo and his men, and fueled by his own resolve, Giorno sets out to fulfill his goal of absolving the mafia of its corruption.
As for now, the staff haven’t revealed much details yet. However, do expect them to make more announcements in the days to come.
