Aside from an upcoming live-action stage play, Nakaba Suzuki’s Seven Deadly Sins is also getting itself an anime movie! Titled “The Seven Deadly Sins: Prisoners of the Sky”, the movie will have an original story not found in the manga. Mangaka Nakaba Suzuki wrote the concept of this new movie himself in fact. And now, the anime’s staff have revealed the movie’s new trailer:
Aside from teasing all the action to expect from the movie, the new trailer also features the movie’s theme song, “Sora Tobira” by NOGOZAKA46. It also introduces us to the members of the Seven Deadly Sins as well. The movie will premiere in Japan on August 18, 2018.
A-1 Pictures will animate the movie, much like the TV anime, with Noriyuki Abe serving as chief director, while Yasuto Nishikata is directing. Its original story will follow Melodias and Hawk as they journey to the Sky Palace to try and get a rare ingredient known as the Sky Fish. However, its winged residents capture and imprison them. But then, trouble Brews as the Demon Clan’s Six Knights of Black arrive and cause trouble for the Sky Palace. Specifically, they’re trying to revive the monster which attacks it every 3,000 years.
