Cells at Work is definitely one of the most talked-about anime this new Summer 2018 season. Based on Akane Shimizu’s hit manga, it follows the everyday lives of anthropomorphic cells as they do their daily jobs… it’s educational too! Aside from the new anime, the manga is getting a live-action stage play adaptation too. And now, the staff have revealed the two main actors in costume for the two main actors:
Kanon Nanaki from the live-action Sailor Moon musicals is playing the main Red Blood Cell, while Mr. Osomatsu stage play actor, Masanari Wada, plays the main White Blood Cell. This new visual is inspired by the first volume cover of the source manga.
The stage play will be running at the Theater 1010 in Tokyo from November 16 to 25, 2018. Kamen Rider Wizard and Kamen Rider Hibiki director, Tsuyosh Kida, will be at the helm of this project, with Trifle Entertainment working the production.
