Ladies and gentlemen, Naoshi Komi’s bestselling romantic comedy manga, Nisekoi, is getting its own live-action movie. And now, the official Toho movie channel has started streaming the movie’s very first visual. The new trailer reveals Kento Nakajima in costume as Raku Ichijo and Ayami Nakajou as Chitoge Kirisaki. It also features former AKB48 idol Haruka Shimazaki as Marika Tachibana and DAIGO as Claude, however, a certain somebody is missing…

The new trailer teases Nisekoi’s story of how Raku and Chitoge must pretend to be lovers or else their families will erupt in violent gang warfare. The staff also revealed the movie’s new key visual which features Raku and Chitoge. Both the new trailer and key visual also reveal the movie’s December 21, 2018 release date as well.

But if you’re missing Onodera, it seems that the staff is keeping what 15-year old rookie actress, Natsumi Ikema, will be looking like in the movie a big secret as of now. This may be her debut role in a movie, but the young actress previously appeared in commercials back in Japan. They also previously revealed other members of the cast as well.

Hayato Kawai, who previously directed the live-action Ore Monogatari movie, will be directing Nisekoi. Fans would also note that the Nisekoi manga previously had a crossover story with the Ore Monogatari manga, so the director really fits in nicely.

Nisekoi follows Raku Ichijou, the heir to a yakuza family. One day, he bumps into and gets into an argument with a pretty blonde girl named Chitoge. But afterwards, he finds out that she’s her classmate and is the daughter of the leader of a rival gang. And to prevent an all-out gang war from happening, their fathers force the two of them to have a fake relationship. What’s more is that Raku is in love with a different girl, Kosaki Onodera, and this complicates things further. The manga also received to highly successful TV anime adaptations in 2014 and 2015.
