Netflix has slowly been asserting their influence in the Japanese animation industry. The streaming service doesn’t just have rights to several anime, but also has a few more Netflix-exclusive anime as well. These include Kakegurui, B: The Beginning, Sword Gai, and of course, Aggretsuko and Fate/Apocrypha. And now, they’re about to take over Shinjuku Station, one of Japan’s busiest train stations… with anime quotes.

The quotes included a few classic ones from anime like 1979’s Mobile Suit Gundam and the original Ghost in the Shell. However, it also included a few more modern ones from anime like Aggretsuko.

Netflix will be installing the mural over at the station from July 23-29. They will then launch a social media campaign with the mural itself. Those who take a flash photo of the mural will be revealing something a bit more about its contents. The original version will just contain quotes, but the flash photography version will reveal who said those quotes.

Those who also pose the photo on twitter will also be getting a special prize, which will be a photo sticker they can use on social media.

Netflix aims to strengthen its ever-growing Japanese animation line-up for all members around the world, and also give them “high-quality anime from Japan.” They say that this will be a “win-win-win” situation for everyone, from the members to anime creators, and anime production staff.
