Ahhhhhh, the 90’s was a great time for Japanese animation, as it introduced plenty of timeless classics. Many even consider it as the “golden age”, though some might also disagree. But whatever the case, many of the anime from the period were simply unforgettable. The same goes for the anime songs in the 90’s, which would often guide us back to our childhoods whenever we hear them play.

In a recent poll, Japanese ranking site, GOO, asked 500 anime fans, 50% of whom are male while the other 50% are female, to vote for their favorite 90’s anime songs. The Poll featured a total of 46 anisongs, and here are the Top 20:

20/21 (tie): Egao no Genki (Hime-chan no Ribbon) and Hohoemi no Bakudan (Yu Yu Hakusho)

18/19 (tie): Kimi-iro Omoi (Akazukin Chacha) and Ora wa Ninki Mono (Crayon Shin-chan)

16/17 (tie): We Are! (One Piece) and Unmei no Roulette Mawashite (Detective Conan)

15 – Anbaransu Na Kiss o shite (Yu Yu Hakusho)

14 – Yuzurenai Negai (Magic Knight Rayearth)

13 – Nazo (Detective Conan)

11/12 (tie): Hajimete no chuu (Doraemon) and Dan Dan kokoro mi karate kyu (Dragon Ball GT)

10 – Yuuki 100% (Nintama Rantarou)

9 – Kimi ga Suki da to Sakebitai (Slam Dunk)

7/8 (tie) – CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA (Dragon Ball Z)
