My Hero Academia is really popular, not just in Japan, but the west as well. And it was only a matter of time until Hollywood came knocking. Now, Legendary has announced that they will be adapting Kouhei Horikoshi’s shounen manga into a live-action movie.

Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter will be overseeing the project for Legendary Pictures. They also revealed that the manga’s editor himself. Ryousuke Yoritomi, will be responsible for overseeing the production for Shueisha. Meanwhile, Toho will be distributing the film in Japan.

As of now, neither Legendary, nor Shueisha, have revealed any further details on the upcoming movie. Expect them to reveal more details in the days to come, so stay tuned here at SGCafe!
