God Eater 3 will be the latest addition to humanity’s battle for survival against the Aragami. And now, Bandai Namco has released a new TV ad for the game, and it teases the story, as well as the action. It also previews theme song “stereo future” by BiSH.
For its animated sequences, ufotable, which also animated the franchise’s TV anime adaptation, is responsible for the production. Here is how Bandai Namco is describing its story:
Earth no longer resembles the home we know of now. The Aragami, terrifying beasts that live only to consume, are carving a path of destruction and misery wherever they are encountered. To combat this threat an elite group of heroes known as God Eaters are called upon to save humanity. God Eaters are individuals who have been bestowed upon them the ability to wield powerful new God Arcs, special weapons powered by Oracle Cells and the only known weapons capable of destroying the monstrous Aragami. However, another mission is coming into focus; something is happening to the God Eaters and the line between light and dark has never been so thin. It’s time to start breaking free from the cursed shackles that bind the souls of the God Eaters as the battle rages on around them.
GOD EATER 3 will introduce Adaptive God Eaters (AGE), who are different to the God Eaters of the past. The AGE are even closer to Aragami which makes them stronger and deadlier in combat as well as more resistant to Ashlands.
God Eater 3’s story takes place right after the events of God Eater 2: Rage Burst. The game will first hit Japan later this month on December 13. It will then have an international release in February 8, 2019. Bandai Namco will be releasing the game for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
