Gundam fans, rejoice, because Sunrise and Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced a new spin-off for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Its title is Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urðr-Hunt, and it combines the elements of anime and video games. It will be a smartphone app, and its setting will be around the same year as the events of the main story.
The staff from the TV anime reunites for this spin-off, which will introduce us to a brand new Gundam frame. The story will follow Wistario Afam from Radonista Colony, which is floating just above Venus. He has heard of the exploits of Tekkadan, and wishes to end the colony’s status quo. One day, a girl appears before him, and says that she will guide him to the Urðr-Hunt. Here is the anime’s key visual:
The new app will introduce us to the Gundam Hajiroboshi, which Wistario finds deep in Radonitsa Colony’s power section. He’s also the one to awaken it.
They will release the app for free via Apple’s App Store and Google Play. However, like most free apps, there will also be in-app purchases. And speaking of the app itself, it will also contain an IBO four-panel manga titled Yurutetsu. It will center of the Tekkadan characters like Mikazuki and Orga.
Also, expect some new model kits as well!
