A new manga isn’t just hitting the gym, but getting a TV anime as well. A new website has launched, and it reveals that Yabako Sandrovich and MAAM’s Dumbbell Nan-Kilo Moteru? is getting a TV anime adaptation. The manga’s title means ” How many kilos is the dumbbell you’re lifting?” They even released a brand new key visual:

The manga follows Hibiki Sakura, a high school girl who loves to eat. One day, a friend told her that she became fat, and this made her try going to the gym. However, she absolutely doesn’t want to work out alone. But as she meets student council Akemi Souryuuin, she finally gets into it. In fact, she now makes weightlifting her passion.
Monthly Girls’ Nozaki Kun director Mitsue Yamazaki will be directing the series, while New Game!’s Ai Kikuchi is doing the character designs. Doga Kobo will be animating the project, with Silver Man Gym helping out in the presentation. Ai Fairouz will voice Hibiki Sakura, and Sora Amamiya will voice Akemi. It will premiere in Summer 2019!
