Next season, Netflix will finally debut one of the most anticipated anime of 2019, Ultraman. It adapts Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi’s Ultraman manga, and it’s certainly coming in with a ton of hype. And now, the staff tweeted out a new key visual featuring the anime’s three main characters, Ultraman, Seven, and Ace.

The anime will star Ryohei Kimura as Shinjiro Hayata, Takuya Eguchi as Dan Moroboshi, Megumi Han as Seiji Hokuto, and Hideyuki Tanaka as Shin Hayata. Meanwhile, Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) are co-directing the anime over at Production I.G.. It will premiere globally via Netflix on April 1, 2019. OLDCODEX is performing the anime’s OP song “Sight Over The Battle.”

Here’s how Netflix describes the anime’s story.

Several years have passed since the events of Ultraman, with the legendary “Giant of Light” (光の巨人 Hikari no Kyojin) now a memory, as it is believed he returned home after fighting the many giant aliens that invaded the Earth. Shin Hayata’s son Shinjiro seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father’s revelation that he was Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to battle the new aliens invading the Earth as the new Ultraman.
