Kojima Productions’ very first project, Death Stranding, is one of the most anticipated games coming up for the PlayStation 4. This is also Kojima’s very first game sice he left Konami after all the drama which unfolded. Unfortunately, it seems that the crew are a bit behind schedule, as Kojima revealed in an interview with J-Wave.

In the interview, J-Wave mentioned that fans are still waiting for a release date. However, Kojima said that they are “slightly behind schedule”. Fortunately, he doesn’t sound like he’s concerned about this at all, because he also assured fans that they’re not that far behind.

The game will also feature renowned Pacific Rim director, Guillermo del Toro, The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus, and Hannibal’s Mads Mikkelsen. Kojima Productions and Sony will release the game as an exclusive for the PlayStation 4.

In an interview, Kojima revealed that they are using Guerrilla Games’ new Decima Engine for the game, with Kojima saying that he and his team looked everywhere to find the “perfect tools” to create Death Stranding. He said “It has to be technology and people, they cannot be separate. From the first moment I met Guerrilla I had a good feeling about this.”
